We are Jim and Carrie Gordon.
Over 41 years of marriage with nine children and demanding occupations, we experienced the stresses and challenges in our marriage—like all married couples do.
Still, we always considered that we had a great marriage and would even pride ourselves in that fact, but when it came to sex, we weren’t on the same page.
We came across some resources that helped us understand each other better. We actually started to discover the way God wired us and that we didn’t need to feel ashamed that we held different viewpoints, experiences, sexual drives, and interests.
Consequently, we found ourselves on a learning curve—a quest of sorts—to improve our communication and deepen our intimacy. It required vulnerability and humility—with the desire to love self-sacrificially.
Despite some ups and downs along the way, we’ve grown in our love, intimacy, and mutual appreciation for each other.
We believe we are experiencing marriage at its best! Yes, of course, there is always room for improvement. Yes, life has many challenges and problems. Yet, we have learned—and continue to learn—that marriage is designed to be enjoyed together!
In 2007, we launched this website and started the journey of helping other couples experience the best for their relationships. Our content is centered around intimacy, the primary need of every thriving relationship.
